Aether Community of Care Network
Aether Interventional Psychiatry is partnering with our local therapeutic community to offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) to patients in a medically supported setting.
What is the Aether Community of Care Network (ACCN)?
The Aether Community of Care Network (ACCN) is a structured partnership between Aether Interventional Psychiatry and trusted therapists throughout Western North Carolina. Through the ACCN, therapists are able to bring their own patients to Aether for KAP sessions while our medical team provides psychiatric evaluation, medical clearance, ketamine administration, and continuous monitoring.
Therapists remain fully independent providers, set their own therapy fees and coordinate care through a required ROI. There is no charge to the therapist for the use of our facility.
How It Works
-
Every patient completes a psychiatric/medical evaluation with an Aether provider before beginning treatment. This ensures medical and psychological safety and determines whether ketamine is appropriate.
*Aether will bill insurance
-
With a signed Release of Information, Aether and the therapist coordinate care.
*Signed ROI is required for all patients
-
Sessions are scheduled for approximately 2.5 hours onsite. Aether administers ketamine and provides continuous monitoring. The therapist remains present with their patient throughout the session to provide psychotherapeutic support.
-
Aether oversees medical recovery and determines discharge readiness. Therapists continue integration work in their own practice.
Insurance & Fees (ACCN/ KAP Services)
Therapists participating in the Aether Community of Care Network (ACCN) remain fully independent providers and are responsible for setting their own psychotherapy fees and verifying reimbursement eligibility for services delivered on-site at Aether.
Aether Interventional Psychiatry accepts all major insurance plans as well as Medicare, Medicaid and VA CCN.
Aether bills insurance for:
Initial psychiatric evaluations
Follow up medications management visits
Ketamine treatment sessions are cash pay.
Fee Schedule
Ketamine administration: $350 per infusion/injection (cash pay)
Psychiatric evaluations and medication management visits may be billed to insurance when appropriate
Therapists bill separately for psychotherapy services
There is no fee-splitting or shared billing structure.
Because we recognize the importance of this therapy for the people of our community, there is no facility usage fee for therapists using Aether’s space as part of the ACCN model.
